What we collect

Birth dates. When you use Echera, we process the birth dates you enter (yours and, where applicable, another person's) to generate the reading you requested. This is the core purpose of the service — without it, we cannot produce your result.

Email address. We ask for your email when you request a reading. We use it to identify your account and, if you opt in below, to send you occasional relationship insights. We do not use it for anything else, and we never sell it.

Why we collect it

Processing your birth dates to generate the reading you asked for is necessary to provide the service itself — this happens whether or not you opt in to anything else.

Sending you further emails (updates, occasional insights) only happens if you check the consent box when submitting the form. Leaving it unchecked means we still generate your reading — we just won't email you afterward. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

What we don't do

  • We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your birth date or email for advertising profiles.
  • We do not currently share your data with any third-party processor. If that changes, we will update this page first.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for. As a general guideline: if you've never opted in to emails and haven't interacted with us again, we periodically clean up or anonymize inactive records. If you've opted in to emails but they consistently go unread or bounce, we'll stop sending them and clean up the record. Exact retention windows are an internal operational policy, not a fixed legal deadline — GDPR requires only that we don't keep data longer than needed, which is the principle we follow.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely at any time by emailing [email protected]. Deletion is permanent — we remove your identifiable record rather than just marking it inactive.

Cookies and local storage

Echera does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you check "Remember my birthday," we save your birth date in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-enter it — this stays on your device and is never sent anywhere unless you submit the form. See our Cookie Policy for details.
